Hands-On Cooking Classes in Albuquerque Now Offered at IPEC
Share
We’re excited to share a big update - Sherwood Coffee ’n’ Bread is expanding into the Indian Pueblo Entrepreneur Complex (IPEC)! Starting soon, we’ll be offering monthly cooking classes in Albuquerque from this vibrant, shared-use commercial kitchen.

Why IPEC?
IPEC is one of Albuquerque’s most unique spaces - a hub for local entrepreneurs and food makers. Their shared-use commercial kitchen is designed to support small food businesses and community connection. After attending a recent networking event there, we knew it was the right place to grow what we’re doing at Sherwood.
We met incredible people like Paulette Atencio, the owner of Paulette’s Cocina, and enjoyed delicious blue corn tortillas with beef stew from Cleo’s Blue Corn Kitchen. If you need local catering, we highly recommend checking them out.
Monthly Cooking Experiences in Albuquerque
At Sherwood, we believe the best way to connect is through food. That’s why we’re launching a series of monthly hands-on cooking classes at IPEC, each with a different instructor, cuisine, and theme.
Whether you’re searching for:
- Fun things to do in Albuquerque
- Cooking classes near me
- Group food experiences in New Mexico
…this new series will offer a fresh and delicious way to cook, learn, and meet others.
What Makes These Classes Unique?
- Local: Held at the IPEC shared kitchen in Albuquerque
- Hands-on: Not a demo - everyone cooks
- Rotating instructors: New faces, new flavors
- Culturally diverse: Dishes from around the world
- Small groups: Personal, engaging experiences
These are ideal for anyone looking to explore food, connect with others, or just try something new - from first-timers to seasoned home cooks.
A New Direction for Sherwood
While Sherwood Coffee ’n’ Bread will continue offering bread baking classes in our outdoor wood-fired oven, this expansion to IPEC lets us grow in a new direction - one that feels collaborative, community-focused, and creative.
We’ll share the full schedule soon, but we’re already working behind the scenes to bring in some amazing local talent. We won’t be teaching every class ourselves, but we’ll make sure every instructor brings heart and knowledge to the table.
How to Join
Spots will be limited, so we recommend signing up for our newsletter or following us on Facebook to be the first to know when new classes go live.
You can also check our Cooking Classes page for upcoming events and availability.
This is more than just a class - it’s a chance to be part of a growing food community in Albuquerque. Come cook with us at IPEC and see what’s possible when great people and great food come together.
