Community Partnership Program
Sherwood Coffee ‘n’ Bread is a locally owned cooking school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We offer hands-on bread baking classes and wood-fired pizza workshops that bring people together through food and learning.
To support our community in a sustainable and transparent way, we offer one structured fundraising option: our Give-Back Booking Program.

This program is intended for organizations whose supporters can attend in-person cooking classes in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
We do not provide open-ended gift certificates for silent auctions.

This program is designed for local organizations that want a simple way to raise funds by encouraging their community to book cooking classes in Albuquerque.
Typical partners include:
- Schools and PTAs
- Parent organizations
- Youth programs
- Arts and cultural nonprofits
- Senior and 55+ community groups
- Local event organizers running a fundraising campaign
This program works best for organizations with an engaged audience (email list, parent network, or active community).
Give-Back Booking Program
20% Donation | 60-Day Campaign | Public Albuquerque Cooking Classes
How It Works:
- Your organization receives a unique Sherwood booking code.
- Supporters book eligible public cooking classes at Sherwood Bread using that code.
- Participants pay full class price.
- Sherwood donates 20% of each completed, non-refunded booking back to your organization.
- The campaign runs for 60 days.
There are no certificates to distribute and no redemption coordination required.
Who Pays for the Classes?
Participants always pay full price.
This may include:
- Parents booking their own class
- Community members supporting the fundraiser
- A parent purchasing seats for teachers
- A group organizing a senior outing
- A staff appreciation event
The booking code ensures 20% of each completed booking supports your organization.
Private Group Bookings (8+ Participants)

If an organizer gathers 8 or more participants, a private cooking class may be scheduled based on availability.
In this case:
- The group pays the full private class rate
- Sherwood donates 20% of the booking total
- Advance scheduling is required
The same 20% give-back model applies.
Eligible Classes
The booking code may be used for public classes such as:
- Artisan Bread Baking Classes
- Wood-Fired Pizza Making Classes
- High-Altitude Baking Workshops
- Seasonal specialty cooking classes
All classes are held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
For PTA Leaders & Event Organizers

You receive:
- A custom booking code
- A ready-to-copy description for newsletters or event pages
- Logo and photos for marketing
- Clear tracking
- 20% returned to your organization
Supporters book directly through our website. We handle the cooking experience.
How to Make Your Campaign Successful
We recommend:
- Sending at least two email reminders during the 60-day campaign
- Posting on social media weekly
- Sharing the direct booking link
- Highlighting that 20% of every booking supports your organization
Example:
If 40 participants book an average $95 cooking class, your organization receives approximately $760 in donations.
Important Guidelines
- Campaign requests must be submitted at least 30 days prior to desired start date
- Each campaign runs for 60 days
- Codes apply to public classes only
- Codes cannot be combined with other promotions
- Donations are calculated from completed, non-refunded bookings
- Payout is issued within 14 days after the campaign ends
- Private group classes require a minimum of 8 participants
To maintain quality and sustainability, Sherwood supports up to 12 community partners per calendar year.
Once annual capacity is reached, additional requests may be considered for the following year.
What We Do Not Offer
- Open-ended gift certificates
- Free class tickets
- Cash donations
- Retroactive fundraising credits
- Ongoing year-round codes
- Silent auction gift certificates
Why We No Longer Provide Silent Auction Gift Certificates
Over time, we found that one-time gift certificates often created limited fundraising impact and significant coordination for both organizers and our team.
To better support local organizations in a sustainable way, we transitioned to a structured 20% Give-Back Booking Program that allows multiple supporters to participate and generate meaningful fundraising results over a 60-day campaign.
This model creates broader community engagement and a more consistent benefit for your organization.
